NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix Driver 610.52 Fixes G-SYNC and Display Issues

NVIDIA has released GeForce Hotfix Driver 610.52 to correct G-SYNC and display-related issues for affected users.

NVIDIA has released GeForce Hotfix Driver 610.52 to address a set of G-SYNC and display-related problems affecting some users.

Hotfix drivers are different from standard Game Ready releases. They are usually targeted updates meant to correct specific issues quickly, before those fixes are rolled into a later public driver package.

What NVIDIA fixed in GeForce Hotfix 610.52

Version 610.52 is based on Game Ready Driver 610.47 and is available for 64-bit versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11. NVIDIA lists several targeted fixes:

  • Frame pacing on certain Ada-based systems when G-SYNC is enabled.
  • Monitors being identified as “NVIDIA NV-Failsafe” when their EDID could not be read correctly.
  • Gaming stability in multi-monitor configurations using V-SYNC with DLSS Frame Generation.
  • Certain monitors failing to wake from sleep mode.
  • World of Warcraft stability problems.
  • Jittering, ghosting or crashes in some DirectX 11 games when Smooth Motion is enabled.
  • General stability when the system cannot create a new allocation.

NVIDIA describes hotfix drivers as optional beta releases that receive abbreviated testing. Users who are not affected by these problems can wait for the next WHQL-certified driver, where NVIDIA says the fixes will be incorporated.

Hotfix 610.52 targets G-SYNC and display bugs

The GeForce Hotfix Driver 610.52 is aimed at users affected by display issues, including problems related to G-SYNC behavior. If your system is running normally, you may not need to install it immediately.

NVIDIA later released Game Ready driver 610.88 with support for Halo: Campaign Evolved, the Gears of War: E-Day beta and Mistfall Hunter. Its release notes list seven documented fixes.

For affected users, however, hotfix drivers can be important. Display bugs can cause flickering, inconsistent refresh behavior, black screens or other problems that directly affect gaming and desktop use.

When GeForce users should install the hotfix

If you are experiencing the specific issues NVIDIA lists for this hotfix, installing 610.52 is worth considering. If your current driver is stable and you are not seeing G-SYNC or display problems, it may be safer to wait for the next regular driver release that includes the same fixes.

As always, users should download drivers from NVIDIA’s official support channels rather than third-party mirrors.

Hotfix drivers are optional fixes, not full releases

NVIDIA hotfix drivers are not usually broad feature updates. They exist to solve targeted problems quickly. That makes them useful for troubleshooting, but not always necessary for every GeForce user.

For players affected by G-SYNC or display bugs, GeForce Hotfix Driver 610.52 may be the fastest path to a stable setup.
