Microsoft Announces Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition Available in November

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition for November, with a new report pointing to a November 27 launch and €899.99 European price.

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition, a new console variant expected to be available in November.

The anniversary model uses a translucent OG Green design inspired by the original Xbox and includes 1TB of storage, a disc drive and a matching Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition. Microsoft has not positioned it as a performance upgrade over the standard Xbox Series X.

Xbox Series X25 is a limited-edition release

The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition is aimed at players who want the anniversary design rather than different hardware specifications. Microsoft says the console keeps the power and performance of the existing Series X, while adding a translucent green shell, an illuminated green X, Xbox 25th Anniversary branding and the matching controller.

The controller uses the same translucent OG Green styling, the original ABXY button colors and details inspired by the original Xbox controller. It is included with the limited-edition console and will also be sold separately.

Microsoft’s June announcement only gave a November window for the console and said pricing and preorder details would follow. That means the reported November 27 date does not replace Microsoft’s official guidance yet, but it gives buyers a more specific date to watch as the holiday launch approaches.

Xbox Series X25 is reportedly launching November 27

A new report from VGC, citing Dealabs leaker billbil-kun, says the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition will launch in Europe on November 27 for €899.99. Microsoft has not yet confirmed either the exact date or the price, so both details should still be treated as reported information.

If accurate, the €899.99 price would put the X25 €100 above the standard 1TB disc-drive Xbox Series X, which now costs €799.99 in Europe following Microsoft’s latest console price increase. The reported November 27 date also falls on Black Friday.

The X25 controller may arrive earlier

The same report says the standalone Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition will launch on October 20 for $79.99 in the US, €79.99 in Europe and £74.99 in the UK. Microsoft has confirmed that the controller will be available separately, but has not yet confirmed those prices or the October 20 date. The report also says preorders will open on August 26; that timing has not been confirmed by Microsoft either.

Microsoft has already confirmed the standalone controller as part of the 25th Anniversary collection, but its official announcement did not provide a release date or retail price. Until Xbox updates its store pages or preorder information, October 20 and the reported regional prices remain leak details rather than confirmed launch information.

For now, the Xbox Series X25 itself, its 1TB specification, anniversary design and November availability in select markets are official. The more specific November 27 launch date and €899.99 European price remain unconfirmed until Microsoft publishes final retail and preorder details.
