Rockstar Games released the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer on 15 October 2026, confirming that French electronic duo Justice composed the game’s original score. The 90-second video introduces “Flower in a Hurricane,” featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, ahead of the scheduled 19 November launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The new footage returns to Jason and Lucia’s relationship and the criminal conspiracy unfolding across Leonida. Unlike the 26-minute Extended Look released in August, the launch trailer concentrates on the characters, action and music rather than explaining the game’s systems.
What the GTA VI Launch Trailer Shows
The trailer gives Jason’s military background more attention and includes scenes of Lucia in prison, police confrontations and the pair caught in increasingly dangerous situations. Rockstar’s official story description places them in a statewide conspiracy after a seemingly straightforward job goes wrong.
The footage includes cinematic sequences and in-game action, but scenes that resemble particular missions should not be treated as confirmation of how those missions play. Rockstar has not provided a new gameplay feature list alongside this trailer.
The video was captured in-game on PlayStation 5. That establishes the platform used for the presentation, not the resolution or frame-rate options available in the finished game.

Justice Composed GTA VI’s Original Score
The central music announcement is bigger than a trailer song. Rockstar confirmed that Justice — Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay — composed GTA VI’s original score.
Their new standalone single, “Flower in a Hurricane,” features Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. It debuted with the 15 October trailer and is also included on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.
The score and soundtrack album serve different purposes. Justice’s score accompanies the game, while The Album collects original songs by a wider roster of artists. Rockstar has also promised more information about a separate official score album, without announcing its release date in the trailer statement.
GTA VI’s 34-Track Album and Radio Stations
Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is scheduled for 19 November 2026 and contains 34 original tracks. Rockstar’s music page currently previews nine songs, including Yung Lean’s “That’s It” featuring Future and Metro Boomin, Travis Scott’s “RHYNO,” Cardi B’s “Don’t Chart” and Keith Richards’ “Bright Lights, Big City.”
The album is available for digital pre-save and physical pre-order on vinyl and CD. Those are music releases, separate from the game editions.
Rockstar has also introduced six stations from Leonida’s in-game radio lineup. Cocoteo focuses on modern Latin music, Afro Bank FM on African music, The Chamber on metal, and Flash FM returns with pop. Back Country covers country music, while Dirty South Classics features regional rap.
The company has also confirmed in-game podcasts. These radio and podcast details were announced before the October launch trailer; they provide context for the broader audio experience rather than representing newly revealed trailer features. The official GTA VI music hub includes station previews and currently available singles.
GTA VI Release Date, Pre-Loading and PC Status
Grand Theft Auto VI remains scheduled for 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC release date, so the November launch should not be treated as a confirmed PC release.
Take-Two’s official pre-order announcement lists the Standard Edition at $79.99 and Ultimate Edition at $99.99 in the United States. Digital pre-loading begins on 12 November. The publisher also says the physical retail package contains a download code rather than a game disc. Prices and offers can differ between regional stores.
The release is also listed in the GameTechReport calendar.
Rockstar’s latest video is not a console performance benchmark. It does not confirm a 60 fps mode, final Xbox Series S rendering settings, or whether the shipping PS5 version will use QSSR upscaling. Those questions require official technical specifications or testing of the released game.
