Gigabyte appears to be preparing a new RTX 5080 Aorus model in its Infinity lineup, and this one seems to be leaning into a wood-themed design. A fresh regulatory listing points to a Gigabyte graphics card called GV-5080NAORUSIF WD 16GD, which lines up with what an online leaker says is an Aorus Infinity Wood variant built around NVIDIA’s RTX 5080.
What the leak points to
The listing itself does not give away much beyond the SKU name, but it is enough to suggest Gigabyte is expanding the Aorus Infinity family beyond the RTX 5090 version that already exists. The “WD” part in the code appears to be tied to the Wood branding, while the rest of the name strongly indicates an RTX 5080 model with 16GB of memory.
Online hardware leaker Richard Huynh said the card is linked to the Infinity Wood series and described it as “a 5080 but with a wood style cooler.” That points to a design theme rather than actual wood construction, with the finish likely coming from printed texture or a thin veneer effect.
Not much is known yet about the card itself
This is the first public appearance of the card, so there is no confirmed detail on clocks, cooling behavior, pricing, or release timing. The regulatory listing does suggest the project is moving forward, but it stops well short of a launch announcement.
Still, Gigabyte may be building on the same approach used for the Aorus RTX 5090 Infinity, which ships with a boost clock of up to 2730 MHz. That is significantly above the stock RTX 5090, so the RTX 5080 Aorus Infinity Wood could also end up with an overclocked factory profile.
Why the timing could matter
Computex would be a plausible place for Gigabyte to show the card if it is ready in time, especially since the model is already surfacing in regulatory paperwork. That does not guarantee a reveal, but it does make the timing easier to imagine.
- New Gigabyte SKU: GV-5080NAORUSIF WD 16GD
- Appears tied to the Aorus Infinity Wood design language
- Believed to be an RTX 5080 variant with 16GB of memory
- No confirmed specs, launch date, or pricing yet
For now, the main takeaway is simple: Gigabyte seems to be preparing another themed Aorus card, and this time the RTX 5080 Aorus could arrive with the Infinity Wood look attached.
